Printing text files when you are using a colour scheme

I set notepad++ to use a colour scheme. Bit like a skin.
The problem is printing. I have two issues:

It is printing the background colour. This should not be printed.

I have no option to print text in monochrome.
At the moment I have to copy paste into regular notepad which is annoying.italicised text
