Is there a way to have multiple languages in a single file? Or is there an extension I can use that does this?

Could you elaborate a bit what you mean by that?

        Cheers

For example, in the same file, I want to be able to select one block of code as JavaScript that shows JavaScript coloring/formatting and a separate block of code in the same file to be formatted in VB.

as long as it is html, yes you can.
Afaik, html is the only lexer which supports different sublexers.

            Cheers
