Long hang while starting

NPP is configured to restore edited files while restarting.
File posessed on the network resource was edited. After saving the resulted state the file window was closed. The network resource the file is located was detached and is not now available.
Now NPP hangs while starting for approximately 1 minute. After that time elapsed NPP works as usual. Till the next restart.
The only way to eliminate the problem above I find is to clear the edited files history. But it’s not safe… is there more safe solution?
