        @inu20

        shot in the dark - stop npp, rename the notepad++ directory under %APPDATA%, restart npp.
        Same behavior?

        Cheers
        Claudia

            Hello @inu20 ,

            I assume you have tried restarting the computer, have you?
            Try removing the N++ plugins one by one and test to see if anything changes.

              Hello @pnedev ,

              Yes, I did remove Notepad++ and restart my computer at that time, and it still froze without any plugins.

              It not froze every time now… I might used to it. > " <

              Thank you for your reply.

                Hello @inu20 ,

                I have no idea what might be wrong then, sorry. From what you describe it looks like a system issue though.

                  Ever tried the minimalist package from:

                  https://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v7.3.3.html

                  -> no plugins and no installation. This should give you a hint if one of the plugins is a problem or somewhere in your local config there is an issue.
