Inconsistent double-click selection of quoted text

Hi! Notepad++ has a very strange selection behaviour when double-clicking quoted text. Quotes are not selected when I double click “this” string, but they do get selected on ‘this’ single-quoted text. Why is that?

Is there some fix to make the behaviour consistent, ie, to leave the single quotes unselected as it should? Thanks.
