      Hello all,
      I am running V7.3.3 (64bit)

      Recently I have noted that Notepad++ is no longer assigning any extension to the saving of a new document, I have tried the tools -> Preferences -> New document settings, changing from normal text to something random like xml or php etc, none of which work.

      Am I missing something daft?

      Dave

        An update - uninstalled and re-installed 64 bit - same issue
        uninstalled and installed 32 bit - now working fine.

        This might be a bug in the software? I will test this on my laptop later today to rule out my computer itself.

          @David-Cummings
          After a quick search on the forum I found some topics that might interest you:
          Save File Save Type and Having to choose a file type from a list every time I save something is annoying.
