search function not working properly

Hi
I have an issue with the search function of notepad++.
If I have used the search function and search through an entire directory I dont have a results window anymore.
(I had it in the past when it was working properly)I would like to receive some help solving what causes this problem.

You should be able to open it using the function menu Search > Search Results Window

I managed to find it by dragging.
It was ’ hidden ’ behind the script screen.
But is there also a button / button combination to press; to make it show up?
And how could it just disappear anyway?
