I’m not sure if these questions have already been asked or if it’s even possible to do.

I’m using notepad++ to translate a text from english to german. The text is in an xml file and each line is embedded in code that is recognized and highlighted be notepad++.

    The first question:
Is it possible to blend out the code, so only the plain text is visible? That would help much, especially when copy/pasting a line

    The second question:
I can open the original and the translated xml documents at the same time, which is very comfortable. Is it also possible to link them in a way that I can also scroll them together, so the correct lines are always side by side?

View (menu) -> Synchronize Vertical Scrolling

Hi Scott, thanks for your answer, but unfortunately this does not help, because the lines are very long and to be able to fully see them I need to have automatic line break enabled. The translated german lines are even longer than the english ones. So a line in english that is wrapped into 3 lines sometimes goes to 4 lines in the german version. So the more I scroll down, the more difference I have. For example when I scoll the german version down to line 1200, the other text is still at line 950. What I need is to have the same line in both texts side by side.
