Can only "Save As" for an existing document

I’m editing a .hdl file that already exists on my computer, but am not able to simply “Save”. I have to manually type in the file name again and replace the old file with a new one with the same name in order to save it.

This happens when files are marked as “read-only”, but in that case, you can not make changes because editing is disabled.
