I’m trying to install a number of plugins (can provide a list if needed) for Notepad++ 7.5.3 (32-bit). I’ve got most of the .dll files from NpWiki++ so I’m assuming they would be OK. I’ve saved the files to the plugins folder, where they should be, but when I start Notepad++ only 4 of the 11 plugins seems to be active. Any idea of what I might be doing wrong and how to fix it?

I’m sure you’ve been careful, but because you mentioned that you got ‘most’ of these plugins from the wiki (which implies that one or more came from elsewhere) and since we all know how persnickety computers/software can be, I’ll hazard a few guesses…

        The plugin that’s not working:

        • may be dependent on a secondary dll (or some other external criteria),
        • may not be 32-bit, or
        • may not be intended for use with NP++.

Knowing the name/version of the plugin might help in getting to the bottom of this.

You could first install https://github.com/bruderstein/nppPluginManager/releases/tag/v1.4.9 and then install probably most of your plugins by selecting from the list, also some of the win32 plugins are also outdated there, see https://github.com/bruderstein/nppPluginManager/issues/42
