Session snapshot lost after HDD run out of space.

I used to keep many files unsaved in Notepad++ (Session snapshot & periodic backup) it worked good however i restarted my PC and not they all are gone. I noticed HDD where i was saving this files was run out of space completely so probably it did not save properly last time i closed Notepad++
How do i recover this files are they saved under root directory inside custom folder i have specified in Backup > Session snapshot & periodic backup?
P.S. There’s also save sub folder what is that for?
