Notepad++ fault; deleted entire content of my file

Whilst working on my javascript program this morning, an error message popped up on my screen advising of a fault with Notepad++ and then it closed the file. When I reopen the file, the entire content has been deleted. The file was regularly saved including in the last minute of use. This has cost me 3-4 days of work. NOT HAPPY!
Can you please fix it and return it to me!
