    I’m trying to find a linter which works nice and easily like http://jslintnpp.sourceforge.net/ does.
    But that says “Last Update: 2016-08-01” and it chokes on async/await.
    I’ve tried putting a new jshint binary in place, but it doesn’t seem to work.
    I like the ease of jslint because I can just hit CTRL-SHIFT-F5 and it checks then, rather than having to it constantly check and clutter up the line numbers along the side.

        Apologies - let me rephrase it better to make it clearer this is a Notepad++ plugin question:

        Hi there, I am using Notepad++ 7.5.7 Windows 32 bit binary.
        Using Notepad++'s plugin manager, I am using a Notepad++ plugin called JSLint based at https://sourceforge.net/projects/jslintnpp/ . Unfortunately, it ceased development over 2 years ago and there has only been one support ticket in 3 years.

        Therefore, I was wondering if someone else had picked up this Notepad++ Plugin development to update it and support the current version of Javascript, even if it does not appear in official plugin manager yet (have looked on Github, Sourceforge etc).

        Thanks!

          Found one! https://sourceforge.net/projects/notepad-linter/
          Takes a little wrangling to get the xml file right, I’m using the config below. Turns out hardly anyone uses jslint or jshint anymore ( http://www.npmtrends.com/eslint-vs-jscs-vs-jshint-vs-jslint ) so this is great!
          But it’s NOT in the plugin library! You need to install manually.

          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
          <NotepadPlus>
            <linter extension=".js" command="C:\Users\jonski\AppData\Roaming\npm\eslint.cmd --format=checkstyle"/>
          </NotepadPlus>
