Notepad++ by default

Is this possible?
I want to change, that when I launch notepad program (normal one) it automatically launches notepad++ by default. I don’t want to always right click notepad program to launch it using notepad++. Can you guys please help me out?

I don’t think your request makes sense. If you have a menu item called “Notepad” then that’s what it should load. If you ALSO create another menu item called “Notepad++” then it will load NPP, as it should do.

If however you are meaning you double-click a “.txt” file in Windows Explorer, then the association is what determines which program will load that text file. By default it is Notepad (windows version), but it can be made to load NPP instead. Have a read of:

which has some info on how to achieve this.

You also mentioned right-clicking, this is an “extended” menu option, and again this can be added to to provide NPP as an option. Currently I don’t have the specifics but google is sure to point you in the right direction.
