Work space folder and registering file data

I am using NP++ for developing a large project of 30-40 units. I am using a memory stick to transport and develop the project on several locations/PC. Two wishes:
a) It shoud be possible to select files by extension in work space folder avoiding all files produced by compiler . It will give a better overview of actual working files.
b) Working with large number of files , it will be very convenient to have a notepad to takes notes on status, todo’s, versioning etc. These notes are ascosiated and stored together with file in a single file. These notes could be shown/hidden with the different files. The notepad need not be very advanced.
Are there already such solutions or plugins please inform me.

As far as I know this is the functionality what project panel provides.

Sorry, don’t understand this. Could you clarify?

Regarding your question b) - seems like the Task List plugin could satisfy your requirements, see here .
