Compare Plug-In no longer working properly on Windows 10 using Notepad V7.5.9

I have been using Notepad ++ Compare plug-in for years to compare large lists of file names in one catalog with another to find with images are missing. Recently, the Compare plug-in has stopped matching the filenames to each other and instead matches them to the wrong filename. What is going on? I can’t do what I used to anymore. Barbra

Following this thread for any new info. I cannot get the plugin to work either with Ver 7.5.9 64-bit.
