I am looking to replace code over multiple lines, just trying to mark the lines that need to be replaced
here is a sample of what needs changing

[not sure how to use markdown here]
<property class=“Action1”>
<property name=“Class” value=“PlaceAsBlock” />
<property name=“Delay” value=“0.5” />
<property name=“Blockname” value=“plantedAppleTree1” />
</property>
my search string (mark lines) I’m trying is

class=“Action1” .* /property

since I want to replace everything in between

@Richard-Cranium

not 100% sure but are you looking for a regular expression like this ?
(?s)class="Action1".*?(?=</property)
