You've a lot of reasons to hate Notepad++

Imagine living in a world where people think they need the political opinions from the products they use. I mean how can you know what to support or believe in until your favorite BBQ sauce tells you? We’re somewhere between 1984 and Idiocracy and most likely the latter if you believe this statement is in support of or against any political view.

A software is not a medium to push your political agenda/opinion. -
The ones who cry about ads are just that - crybabies.
Plugin manager was awesome. Right now we have useless and ugly plugin admin. Pathetic! -
Notepad++ is a free application and its owners are free to do whatever they want.
If they want to do ads they can and should do so to cover their expenses since its users are poor and ungrateful folks who can’t even donate adequately.If Notepad++ authors want to express their political views, they have full rights to do so as well and it’s a good and brave thing to do.
If you don’t get involved in politics, you are responsible for the consequences of your inaction.

Right. There is no doubt that the old plugin manager was awesome.
Right now we have useless and ugly plugin admin. Pathetic!
It is true that, right now plugin admin is ugly and pathetic. But it is not useless. Day by day it is becoming better and over the period of time, it will also be awesome.
So instead of saying ugly and pathetic in one go, reporting concerns or suggestions if any will be very helpful for the community.

i think because some people need to complain about something (anything) from time to time.
i personally also prefer it to be separated from real user requests, and almost everyone seems to respect that so far, and choose this dedicated space to speak freely.it probably doesn’t always mean, that they want to complain about notepad++ itself, but some might be tempted to use this platform as a kind of valve for their current emotions.

my conspiracy theory is, that production of the notepad++ thongs was stopped to save marriages.
i can imagine how many wifes must have filed for a divorce, after seeing their husbands wearing that thong … and now that i wrote that, i sincerely hope that i will get that picture out of my head again 😂😂😂 -
Oh yes, and in addition to the LW leaning, I just found one more reason - I took the time to write out a clear question regarding my CSS file not updating, and I mentioned that Windows told me to contact my coding app for an answer (ie, Notepad++). And I get a response saying that there was nothing Notepad related in my posting, so it’s off topic. Awesome. So maybe you have to actually WRITE the word Notepad? That is one crazy lizard.
