this is the notepad++ community forum.
this is not a source of information on how to learn to use c++.

you will have a better chance of getting your c++ programming related questions answered at stackoverflow.com.

Your car dealers just give them away? I have to fork over a fistful of cash (or sign away my life in credit) to get a car from a dealer.

Besides, cookie baking is the appropriate metaphor around here.

            nitpicking, but true.
notepad++ is free, so from now on all car dealers have to give all notepad++ users a car for free. 😉

            correct, >>> see here <<<. 😁

These power settings affect only the system disk … or all physical disks?

(off topic, regarding the power management issue linked above)

these power settings affect all disks, which are physically connected via, sata, m.2, usb, etc.
(except for usb hard drives, that do not support power management, they will stay allways on.)

note: a few external 2.5" hdds also override the windows power management options, as they have an external power management feature built in into their controllers.
such drives will always go to sleep, regardless of your windows power management settings.

for everyone that wants to speed up file change detections on many opened files, and have a drive which will always go to sleep, regardless of the power management settings:

a recent turbo commit from @SinghRajenM adds the option to activate the file status auto-detection only for the current tab, instead of checking either all or none of the opened files. 👍
