    Hey guys,

I use notepad++ to edit AHK scripts and there is one feature that is not very helpful for me.

    notepad1.JPG

In this screenshot you can see how notepad++ keeps all my files open. When I change a file and close notepad++, it doesnt ask me to save and saves all changes. If I make some unwanted changes I can’t just exit the file and “do not save” like other programs.

So how do I make notepad++ behave just like normal notepad? So basically I open a file, edit, save changes and close the file. I do not want notepad++ to keep my files open or remember my files when I close them.

Then I also have a second unrelated question: How do I tell notepad to always open all files with a specific language? I think it should be possible and it’s kinda annoying to always select my language for every single file. Also after I move the files somewhere else it loses the language setting it had.

I hope I was clear enough explaining. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

    Thanks!

      Turn off the session feature:

In Style Configurator you can add to every lexer user defined file name extensions which should be opened with that lexer:
