    Hello!

How can I automatically save new files with .txt extension? In The new version 7.8.2 all files are saved as an undefined file, without any extension.

    Thank you!

With “new style dialog” selected in the Preferences, well, you can’t.

Just add .txt to the end of your desired base name when you type that (it’s not that hard or burdensome). This comes up a lot, and I’m always amazed by it.
