      Hello all,

I am using a Fortran based language called SINDA. I typically select the Fortran language for color coding, and I’ve been pretty happy with it. The only gripe I have is that SINDA uses “$” for mid-line comments instead of “!”. Does anyone know how I can change the “!” to a “$”?

      Thanks,
      Phil

You cannot make changes like that to an existing lexer. Your options would be to make a User Defined Language (UDL), or you can add extra highlighting to a builtin lexer (like the Fortran lexer) using regexes via the script EnhanceAnyBuiltinLexer.py that @Ekopalypse shares in this linked post
