Since I don’t have admin privileges on my work computer, I use the Zip or 7z option to install NPP. However, I noticed that when I installed the most recent version (by extracting the archive into my Notepad++ folder), I noticed that all my settings (e.g. theme, replace tabs with spaces) got reverted to the default. Is there a way to keep my old settings while upgrading to a newer version? I’m guessing there’s one or more files that I shouldn’t overwrite, but I don’t know enough about the file structure to identify those files. Thanks in advance.
