how do you make commenting consistent with user defined language?

we use a very simple commenting mechanism: lines which start with a dash #

this simple thing does not even work consistently. how do you make it work please?

i would add that i love np++ for years and we have this discussion at work because of this bug.
when you have multiple comment lines, uncomment one, re-comment it with CTRL+Q, that enable/disable the highlighting from random lines above and under

        it’s very annoying. examples:

i went down to 6.1.1 and you cannot define your own language via the UI at this point
i bet this feature never worked

            what do you guys think?
the end of line is defined as ((EOL)) but i merely am parroting what i saw somewhere else, where is this syntax in the wiki/docu ?

yes, looks like force at beginning of line corrupts the styling for some comments.
