Save styles and bookmarks plugin/script

I would be interested in writing a plugin/script/macro to save style token and bookmarks if anyone else is interested in this functionality and it does not already exist. Please let me know if there is any interest.

I believe there has been some other similar discussion in the intervening time.
The big problem is that if you always edit a file with Notepad++ you are good but as soon as you edit it with something else and save it, your text data and your marking data becomes “skewed”. -

For me is very important to save the highlighted text in a notepad++ document. I do style token everytime and save the file, But when reopen it, the highlights are gone.

I had an inspiration (which seems obvious now) that if instead of saving the exact locations of the styles, that if one saves only the text and the color of any styles, they can be recreated at any time no matter if the file has changed in the meanwhile. I will work up a Pythonscript for this.

BTW, bookmarks are already saved automatically by Notepad++, so aren’t they a non-issue?
