Marking links for deletion
-
I work through a series of 16 links to review them in my browser.
When I double click a link it gets opened in my browser and when I triple-click it, it gets marked and I can delete it.However, when I first open notepad++ I have to click a link 5 times to mark it, but on every second click, the link is opened in my browser. So, now the link gets opened twice in my browser.
After working through 8 links, I have to click the next link 7 times to get it marked. Now the link gets opened three times in the browser. Why is this and what can I do to get notepad++ to work in the normal way?

Triple-clicking selects the entire current line, including the line-ending, so your link must occupy the entire line for this to work. In general, though, it is not true that triple-clicking selects a link.
Also, my experience is that the double-click logic also fires, so yes you will get your link opened in a browser before it is selected.
However, I can’t replicate your other experiences, at least with Notepad++ 7.9.1.
