The search result window F7 does not work
How to fix it!?
Once, once, (not once) I pressed some keyboard shortcut, and it appeared!

It does work. There are two conditions for it to work:
- Make sure that nothing else has assigned its shortcut to F7 as well
- Settings > Shortcut Mapper
- pick the Main menu tab
- in the Filter box, type
results
. It should look like:
not like
- if it has a conflict, get rid of the filter, and it will show you which action has stolen its keystroke

You have to have search results. If you have exited Notepad++ and re-run it since the last time you had search results, there is nothing to show.
- if you don’t have search results, do a search that gives results (like Search > Find > Find All in Current Document), which will give results, and show the Search Results Window
- Now F7 will toggle between the editor and the search results window; and if you’ve closed the search results window, it will open it again.

- The first failed - only an empty gray screen!
Key conflict not found - The second thing worked out and now it works!
Thanks!

@PeterJones This window is no longer working!
It’s always empty now!
It worked only once, after that it didn’t! -

It worked only once, after that it didn’t!I don’t use the search-results window that often, but when I do, it works 100% reliably for me. I know that many of the other regulars use it on a daily basis, and they’ve never complained about it “not working” or being “always empty”.
Could you please describe the exact process you are using, and show us screenshots of what you get vs. what you expect?

I tried it now - the function works!
Now it doesn’t work again - there is nothing in the window again!
And the function did not find a match!
I did everything as you say here!
