        @Mohammed-Khan

        You have not given much information about how you want to split it?
        By a line number?? By something else?

            Probably not with Notepad++.

              Actually, what I meant was, not on a “click on a menu command” type basis.

              Of course, you can manually copy and paste data to 12 different Notepad++ tabs which can be saved as 12 different files.

              You could also write some sort of script (either inside or outside of Notepad++) to do it.

                I actually took it to mean there should be (and are) many better applications available to do this task. Using Notepad++ seems like overkill, sure it can do it, but not the best tool.

                A quick look on the web shows many free programs that are far better at this splitting task, many with options to equalise the number of lines in each, or split at so many characters or many other ways.

                  I’m actually not sure what Notepad++ could do to achieve it, other than the very-manual process I described above with copy/paste (maybe more accurately specified as cut/paste). Did you have something in mind that was more sophisticated than that (but still a poor approach compared to non-N++ solutions)?

                    Nope, just the same as you. it would require effort in setting up the PythonScript (or other program lang.), or regex to do the job. then if OP wasn’t happy with result, having to change the process to accommodate. The non-N++ solutions have all those options baked in, so far easier.

                    Also the number of lines the OP stated makes me wary that a buffer overload may occur as well.
