Plugin: Compare / Line Numbers

Just wondering if there was an easy way to tell what the correct line number of a comparison result is once the results are cleared?
My reason for asking is:
In most cases for me, once I have finished with a compare, I usually write a simple report for management above me as to which lines have changed. It can be rather time consuming to review the file in question after I have written my report to correct the line numbers.
I am assuming in my case that management above me may not wish to delve into the program to see the correct line numbers as reported in the plugin.

However, if another Compare Plugin user knows differently and can show us how, great!
