CTRL multi-select not functioning

I am unable to select multiple areas by holding CTRL in the Windows 10 Notepad++ app. I can do it in Word but not here. Not sure what’s causing this.
Ctrl-Shift and Alt seem to work as intended. -
Not sure if you can do it with keyboard alone but you can certainly do it with Ctrl key and mouse. (Actually trying it with keyboard alone generates some funky results!)
