Plugin suggestion

Just started with this so I don’t know if this is the right place…
I’m looking for a plugin or setting that would give me a two color background in columns (like a ledger) or a way to set a visual marker for more then one column (I already have one set) but I need at least one more.

How did you set the first one? Did you use the Settings=>Preferences=>Editing=>Vertical Edge Settings, put it in “Line Mode” at the appropriate column? Is there some other way you’re setting the one column you already have?
