Is it possible to set shortcut key combo to open NP+ from anywhere on Win?

This is what I’ve been doing on my Windows: create a shortcut and make it so when I press ALT_GR+N Notepad+ opens. However, whenever NP+ updates the shortcut changes and the key combo gets deleted.
I would like it so the shortcut combo persists even after an update. Any suggestions?

You could use the zip or 7z package rather than the installer. That’s what I do.

Maybe we could suggest to add the option of creating a hotkey in the setup?
