I’ve been using NP++ for a few years, and I’ve encountered a icon I’ve never seen before, my question is simply, what is it, and what caused it (if not related). It’s on the tab for a file.

That icon is supped to be an eye. Maybe that is more obvious if you use another icon set? Example:
I’m surprised that section of the manual doesn’t mention the tab icon.
