Notepad++ - Fake website ?

Hello,
I recently found a website, “notepad-editor-text[.]org”, which is very similar to the original Notepad++ website. An employee of my company downloaded an .exe file from this site and the hash of the file is not referenced on internet. The domain has been registered a few days ago and use let’s encrypt certificate, so it seems very strange. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a copy of the executable to run it in a sandbox.Are you aware of this website ? Is it officially maintained by Notepad++ or is it an impersonation attempt ?

That is an impersonation/spoof site. Do not trust downloads of Notepad++ from anyplace but notepad-plus-plus.org or github.com/notepad-plus-plus/notepad-plus-plus
