      So I have notepad++ and I put text into it and then I did ctrl + s to save it then I deleted the text and saved it again and then I closed notepad++. But after I opened it I can’t back my old text. Does anyone can help me get my text back?

        Even if you had enabled Notepad++'s Backup on Save to get .bak files every time you hit Save, the .bak would have been of your most recent save… That is, the save after you deleted the text. You would need Verbose backup turned on to get a history of your saves.

        But at that point, love backup software, or cloud providers’ version control, or dedicated version control software like git or svn would be a better choice.

          @peterjones I did find this https://www.easeus.com/file-recovery/recover-unsaved-deleted-lost-notepad-text-document.html but the program to be able to recover it I have to pay for it

            If this programme was able to display the contents of your file, then recuva should also be able to do so.
