      As a newbee to Notepad++ I wonder if I can compare files (and content) in 2 folders. I have 2 folders that seems to be identical bud in 1 ore more files the code is different. Is there a way in Notepad++ (maybe by using a plugin) to compare the to folders and show me the files that are different ? (as for now I used UltraCompare)

        @musicscoree96 ,

        Notepad++ doesn’t have any builtin compare (and there is no plan to). The existing Compare Plugin focuses on comparing two files – it does not have a compare-one-folder-to-another mode. I have not looked enough at the upcoming ComparePlus plugin (which will be replacing Compare Plugin) to know for sure whether or not it has folder-compare, but I doubt it does.

          So why stop using it, even if a Notepad++ plugin gives you compare capability?

          No offense to the developers of the Compare plugin, but I don’t like it much, so I continue to use BeyondCompare. I do my own “integration” with it using some Notepad++ scripts.
