italian translation multi linee editing
-
Hi all, I would kindly like to draw attention to the incorrect and non-exhaustive translation into Italian, used for the checkbox that refers to the enabling of the multi-line mode discussed in 3d https: //community.notepad-plus-plus.
-
Well, that’s a start, but it really needs to be on github; see the instructions provided here for a bug report: https://community.notepad-plus-plus.org/topic/15741/faq-desk-feature-request-or-bug-report
Also, you should provide the screenshot showing the poor text, and then state what you think good text should be.
Saying something like “incorrect and non-exhaustive” doesn’t really help.
Make definite suggestions! -
Pensate che sia giunto il momento di allineare la traduzione Italiana dalla vers. 8.2.1 alla 8.4.4?
Io ho aggiornato il mio file personale e se interessa…?
Grazie

Do you think that the time has come to align the Italian translation from vers. 8.2.1 to 8.4.4?
I have updated my personal file and if you are interested …?As @Alan-Kilborn told the user last year, we cannot change anything in Notepad++ – including the translation files – from the Forum. You need to read the FAQ he linked, which will explain where to go to create an official “issue” with the developers.
However, if I’ve understood the translation guidelines correctly, it’s generally considered polite to ask the previous translator (their info is in the translation file) whether they were going to continue to support the translation, or whether they don’t mind if you make a submission.

@Claudio-Reniè-0 I have just updated the file italian.xml to 8.4.6. I don’t check so often the community blog. @Ices_Eyes is the official Italian Translator, and I’m the official Venetian Translator. Sometimes I contribute to Italian as well because, in order to translate to Venetian, it is easy to compare the translation with another Latin one. Both Ices_Eyes and I translate twice per year. I think that in the future, you can create a Pull-request directly with your Italian proposal or add comments to an existing one.
