Not enough disk space

I saw posts about this from several years ago, but not anything recent.
When I try to save a file, I get a message “Failed to save. It seems there’s not enough space on disk to save file”. I uninstalled Notepad++ and reinstalled, and it’s still an issue. I’m not having issues saving with any other programs.
Notepad++ version 8.4.4 (after the reinstall)
Windows 10 64 bit -
I guess the obvious question to ask (from your omission of it) is “how much free disk space do you have on the drive you are attempting to save to?”
Also, how large is the file buffer you are trying to save? That data is shown in the status bar after
