You make a statement but you supply absolutely nothing to back it up. Firstly, providing the version you are using would be very helpful. Suggest read this post and then supply the info requested.I will hoever go out on a limb here, in suggesting you are possibly using the portable installer. If that is the case you need to read this post. Understand that the portable version DOES overwrite everything by default, that is how it was designed. As it appears you don’t want that to occur you either need to back up the XML files first as suggested in that thread, or use the normal installer.
