Error in page display

i have Windows 11 and Notepad++ v.8.4.6
from to day my Notepad does not work properly. Empty lines are displaying CRLF(INVERTED)
kindly see it here:
please suggest how to get rid of it?

Turn off View > Show Symbol > Show End of Line or Show All Characters
addenda: Looking at the image again, I see the pilcrow symbol ¶ on the toolbar is enabled, so you can just click that off to turn off Show all characters – you probably accidentally bumped that icon when clicking on something else.

That word is new to me, thanks. It also has quite a cute synonym, paraph:
