    Reopen multiple instances of Notepad++ including unsaved files, after Windows auto-updates and auto-restarts (enable NPP as a "restartable" application) ?

      Microsoft has a feature where if Windows 10 auto-updates and auto-restarts (something we have no control over on our work PCs), it tries to save the state of all open applications (including unsaved data) and re-opens them in the exact state they were in before the reboot. This works for certain applications but not all - applications that Windows is able to restore the state of are called “restartable”. Over the past year or so, I have noticed this works for more applications, although a few (Notepad++, VS.Code, paint.net) are still not automatically being recovered.

      Is there any configuration change we can do to enable Windows to save and recover the working session in Notepad++ (including unsaved files, new files that were never saved, and multiple instances of Notepad++ because I often have 2 Windows open side by side, with different files) ?

      If this is currently not supported, is it currently on the “to do” list, and if not, how do we get this added to it (including support for multi-instances)?

      Thanks

        @Apple-Ono ,

        You already asked that question in your reply in this thread. And I had answered you there already. Don’t repeat yourself.
