      I use the .tab extension for tab separated files. I have noticed that they get opened with “Language - N - N - Nncrontab” but I want them to be opened with Language None (Normal Text). How can I turn off Nncrontab?

        I have found Settings - Style Configurator - extended crontab file - Default ext.: "tab spf" but this can’t be edited.

          @datatraveller1 ,

          The default extensions for a given language cannot be edited in the GUI. Instead, following the “Editing Config Files” sequence, edit %AppData%\Notepad++\langs.xml, save, and restart Notepad++. After that, tab won’t be in the list of default extensions in the extended crontab entry of the Style Configurator, and .tab should render as normal text instead of extended crontab syntax.

              edit %AppData%\Notepad++\langs.xml

              Specifically, change this line:

                      <Language name="nncrontab" ext="tab spf" commentLine="\" commentStart="" commentEnd="">

              to this:

                      <Language name="nncrontab" ext="spf" commentLine="\" commentStart="" commentEnd="">

              Removing tab from the list of extensions for nncrontab files.
