Fold/Unfold is acting inconsistently.

After I fold a function in my code, I then try to type something above that area. No matter how I fold, when I type any character, the fold unfolds and I am now typing inside what was the folded area down a couple lines or so. I have not noticed this behavior before. (I’m using 8.4.8 x64)

Still, it might be helpful to share the results from your ?-menu, Debug Info: copy from that dialog and paste in your reply.Which language syntax highlighter is active?
Can you show a screenshot of “before, when it was correctly folded” and “after, when the fold expanded”?
Can you paste in the same code from your screenshot (use the
</>button to put it in a text box here in the forum), so that we can easily copy/paste the code and try it ourselves in our own Notepad++ instances. -
Yes I noticed something like this recently. I folded a few functions in a large AHK file (over 3000 lines), then started to add a new function below the folded ones and seemed to lose the folded functions? Fortunately multiple undoes saved me from starting from a backup.
I tried it again just now but couldn’t replicate it. I am using version 8.4.8.
