mouse cursor changing shape as i move it
-
I go to settings-preferences or stles and see no entry for cursor shape. My shape keeps changing as i move over the options, from pointer to capital I to finger. Is there a way to keep the shape a pointer while selecting options. I like the pointer for moving about and the capital I for editing. Overall a good experience using this product. Bravo!

I only ever have the pointer when on menu options , radio buttons (under settings) and the I when over a text input field or in the tab itself to type characters.
So how about providing the debug info (Under ? menu), copy and paste that here. it’s possible you have a plugin which has enhanced your mouse pointer.

PS actually follow this FAQ post to run without plugins and see if the result is different.

This is a normal experience.
It is not currently configurable.
You may make a feature request for this (see the FAQ), but I would not count on developers acting on it.
There are a lot more important things on the developer’s to-do list; things that they are more interested in tackling (IMO). -

After seeing @Alan-Kilborn response I checked again. it took some searching but found the “finger”, when over Settings, Preferences, Recent Files History, Max. number of entries. I doubt there are many occurrences of those “pointers”, but as @Alan-Kilborn says, it’s normal behaviour.
