      Notepad++ explicitly is not an WYSIWYG editor so I don’t think this will be considered.

        Agree but I might also consider substituting the word HTML in for WYSIWYG.

        Another recent POSTING that may be of interest to @Moubrey-Osmodia .

          Maybe not, and maybe yes, especially since the panel already exists and supports encapsulation, but only in the 32-bit version of the editor, and it’s not difficult to hire someone to refine it, except that the above suggest modifying the menu and adding commands there, and, in my opinion, the remark is correct, the editor has a great potential not inferior to Vscode and VSCodium in Windows, so you should add WYSIWYG, not just as a menu, but also to the HTML preview window along with EDGE support, all text editors can work with HTML, and you can connect the WYSIWYG panel to most of them that support plugins but for some reason, the developers of the most necessary plugins in NPP refused to finalize their projects, allegedly they are no longer relevant - some nonsense.

              however, NPP has the greatest potential as an alternative to Vscode and Codium

                  @Moubrey-Osmodia, Notepad++ already is a WYSIWYG editor. It is used to edit text files and shows exactly what that text looks like.

                  People use Notepad++ to edit text and then run that text through rendering engines that the chose to see what happens.

                  HTML is a standard that defines what a rendering engine may do when provided with a string of text. “Text” is the the only common element between Notepad++ and HTML. Notepad++ works with text and HTML defines ways that text could be interpreted.

                  A reason Notepad++ has become popular is that it’s extremely good and powerful at working with text. Notepad++ also is popular because of its support for plugins. There may well already be a plugin where someone can type text in one window and the plugin will process that text as though it’s HTML and show you the results in another window much like how this forum software works where I’m typing on the left and see the rendered results on the right.

                    @mkupper ,
                    I agree with your summation.

                    I still have somewhere, an old copy of HoT MetaL editor that did just that and allowed you to WYSIWYG what your HTML would look like.

                    On the other hand, I also had Brief, at the time, to edit code. NPP is more like Brief, and less like HoT MetaL. Different tools for different purposes.

                    :-)

                      Here is another example, and on a free program, this panel is needed no matter how it is, but it is implemented more or less acceptably, only in paid software like Dreamweaver, but the fact that it is everywhere like, and customizable panels is a fact, today, most of the development is web and cloud technologies, where-then they use IDE, Frameworks and CMS, but in general, the main tool for such development is an advanced text editor.

                              Let’s just say that only Dreamweaver will get rid of the text editor for JS, HTML and CSS editor, that is, CSS can not be opened at all, but edited directly from the line… In other words, a slightly modified NPP can get rid of a bunch of junk, on a PC on a par with the browser, and the program itself is light. and with a monstrous potential, both for Web development and when using two monitors. Unfortunately, I don’t work with C++ and I don’t have enough time to order at least a revision at the plugin level, but if possible I will do whatever, but at the level of the program itself it would be better

                                And unfortunately, the owner of NPP is not interested in providing this kind of compatibility with those commercially purpose oriented editors, but has allowed someone with the skill to implement their own plugins to do such a thing, similar to what the Preview HTML plugin does, but seriously, keeping an open browser that displays the result of web code, while editing it with NPP is sufficient for most people and considering the difficulties in rendering in every browser engine consistently in one window is almost impossible because of the variations in implementations in the standards. That has always been the problem with standards being modified to give one browser an advantage over another.

                                Be like electricity and follow the path of least resistance to fulfill your need with the least amount of complexity. :-)

This is the whole problem. Sources Here
