Is it possible to Dock the Find Window (not just the Search results) to Notepad++?

I haven’t found any options or settings to do so. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place? Or maybe even, there is a plugin to do so?

      Thanks.

        Currently (v8.5.4) not possible.

A problem with the general idea of it is that the Find window is a bit large, both vertically and horizontally, to make it a good candidate for a docking panel.

To go further with that, it would make a good docking panel if it were smaller vertically (if it were smaller horizontally, it would not be a very functional window, due to the nature of its content).

So there’s a ^ button in the lower right of the Find window that will reduce its vertical size. This smaller window might be a good candidate for a docking panel, if Notepad++ developers ever want to support that idea.

@Alan-Kilborn Very interesting take. Not everyone takes the time to detail their thought process as you have, which is clear and comprehensive. Rarely is feedback online this constructive. It is very appreciated. Thank you!
