Is there a way to Hightlight Partial Search Results?
-
When Searching in Notepad++, I’ve noticed Full Word Search Results come up Highlighted in Green. As where Partial Search Results aren’t Highlighted at all.
As an Example, if I Search for the term “Key”, all the Words matching “Key”, exactly, are Highlighted, whereas the Words “Keyboard” don’t get Highlighted at all. When clicking “Find Next”, “Keyboard” will come up as a Result, but it’s not quickly or easily seen until I click the “Find Next” that corresponds to that Result. Also, when I get to that specific Result, all other Highlighted Results disappear, while I’m focused on this one “Partial Search Result”.
Is there any way to have ALL Results be Highlighted in Green? Whether it be a Full Word Search Result, or a Partial Search Result?
I’ve looked through Notepad++'s Style Configurator. I’ve identified the “Smart HighLighting” Style as being the one that dictates which Color to use for Full Word Search Results. That doesn’t tell me what option or which Style to modify in order for Partial Search Results to be Highlighted.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cheers!

I think what you want can be accomplished by going to Settings | Preferences | Highlighting, looking in the Matching box within the Smart Highlighting box, and unchecking Match whole word only.
