[New IDE] NPP MSVC C++ IDE
-

I initially created this thing a year ago. It had very limited features back than and was very experimental, suited only for very small programs.
In this year, I, however, I substantially improved the system. To the point, where it can be used in the project of practically any size. Only if this project can be contained inside 1 source file + external libraries. I didn’t had the need to make projects with multiple files yet, so it’s not a very big priority for me.
What I did add was the ability to build DLLs. So yea, now you can finally create Notepad++ plugins inside Notepad++! Tested it on my humongous sdpp plugin that is a core part of the IDE now.
I must admit, the process of installing this thing is still kind of convoluted and requires too much “manual” labour. It has a certain charm in itself, but I doubt very much people will enjoy it. I was thinking about packing all thing things up inside a single plugin .zip file, making it install everything automatically and putting it on a plugin-admin list. But to be honest, I expect this will take insane amount of time to devise something like this… So I’m not really sure if or when I’ll make this happen.

You seem to be great at halfway finishing things… and telling us.

Looks like a great solution.
However, setting this thing up is so convoluded that just reading the instructions makes my head spin, so I won’t even bother.
