[NppFTP] Cannot start FTP session

Guten Tag,
als Neuling muss ich vielleicht eine doofe Frage stellen. Nach dem Ubdate von notepad++ bekomme ich beim Aufruf bestehender Server die Meldung: [NppFTP] Cannot start FTP session
Wenn ich mit Filezilla eine Datei zur Bearbeitung aufrufe, erscheint sie problemlos im Editor.

Update from which version of Notepad++ to which version of Notepad++? And which version of NppFTP are you using?
There are two active major versions – v29.xx and v30.xx; the v29.xx is on v29.12, which is the one available through Plugins Admin; but if you go to NppFTP website, you can download and install v30.17 manually: v30.xx has some improvements over v29.xx, but it also has at least one known regression , which is probably why the v29.xx is the one still in Plugins Admin. But if you currently have v29.12, then you might want to try v30.17, as it may work better for you (or vice versa).

Leider finde ich die NppFTP v30.17 nicht. Tatsächlich arbeitet Notepas++ mit der Version 0.29.12 nicht korrekt. -

Unfortunately I can’t find NppFTP v30.17.
That is why I told you that you have to download and install v0.30.17 manually – I had hoped you would know how to do that. Since you apparently don’t, I’ll be more explicit: you have to go to the NppFTP website and get it. You go through the Notepad++ menus at Plugins > NppFTP > About NppFTP and then click on the Visit NppFTP site to go to their website. Then click on their GitHub link which takes you to the “latest” of the v0.29.xx releases. The v0.30.xx won’t be in the “latest” yet, because they are “pre-release” versions, so to see all of the releases, not just the latest, click on the “Releases” link from that page, which currently shows this at the top:
From there, click on the Assets and download the plugin zipfile, and install it manually. (If you don’t know how, the Notepad++ Online User Manual has a section on installing plugins manually .)
In fact, Notepas++ does not work correctly with version 0.29.12.
There are plenty of people who use Notepad++ with NppFTP 0.29.12, so it can work correctly. It might not work for you, but as I said, that depends on your circumstances, especially on what kind of server you are using. Thus, depending on your circumstances, you may have better luck with the v0.30.xx releases rather than the v0.29.xx releases.

Thank you for this detailed answer. Actually I just needed the correct download link. Sorry, I probably should have asked the question more precisely. The fact is: with release v30.17 Notepad++ works again. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
