Closing far right tab will cause instant jump to far left tab, not sure why
-
Been a user for years and this just recently started happening. I’m not sure if I unintentionally changed a setting or if it is a bug/feature in a more recent version but it is becoming time consuming to get all the way back to the right after the sudden jump to the far left tab, I typically have a high number of tabs open at once. Any idears? Thank you for any help!

@mostlyhuman Try Settings / Preferences / MISC. and turn off
Enable MRU Behaviour
MRU Behaviour causes Notepad++ to remember the order that you visited the tabs. When you close the active tab it switched to the previous tab that you had visited. When MRU Behaviour is turned off then closing the active tab switches you to the next tab to the right or of you are ion the last tab it switches you to the tab that was to the left and is now the last tab.
See https://npp-user-manual.org/docs/preferences/#misc
